This is a wonderful website for researching paintings of biblical scenes, and for those of you who are art students, to see up close the techniques of the old masters as the photographs are large and good quality.
Do however "be careful little eyes what you see," if you choose to look other places on the site than the places I have linked to, as most of the artist have one or more paintings of unclothed figures. Also, you may find indecent 'related links' on the bottom of the page. I'm sorry in advance : /
I will however keep adding to this page as I have time.
I would recommend:
http://www.artbible.info/art/work/arent-de-gelder, a pupil of Rembrandt and Samuel van Hoogstraten.
http://www.artbible.info/art/work/bartholomeus-breenbergh A dutch painter, draughtsman and etcher best known for his landscapes.
